Commited to the Safety of Your Aircraft
Northstar operates expansive hangar facilities at MSO. We offer 88,500 square feet of space, by far the most on the field. Our largest hangar supports a wingspan of up to 110 feet, and tail height of 37 feet. That’s large enough for an MD-80 or 737-200.
If you need your aircraft sheltered from unpredictable northwest storms and temperatures, we are the FBO capable of delivering.
The heated hangars are dedicated to safe storage. Our largest hangar is used exclusively for storage and nothing else.

Nestled in the Missoula Valley, Northstar Jet is the FBO division of Neptune Aviation Services, Inc. Located here at the Missoula International Airport, we are a stone’s throw from all the wonders that Western Montana has to offer. Our origins take us back to 1990, when we first broke ground in the FBO business.

Neptune Aviation is a diverse company. We have a prominent presence in aerial firefighting, operating a large fleet of heavy airtankers around the lower 48 states, Alaska, and Canada. With 14 tankers currently in operation, we are the largest operator in the United States, all based from Missoula, MT. We also operate two aircraft on charter, providing private jet and turbo-prop service to North America and surrounding islands for the discerning private traveler or company.
On the FBO side, we continue to grow our operation and offerings. As a Phillips 66 branded FBO, we offer complete FBO services. First class customer service is what we build on no matter the area of service. Quality, on spec aviation fuels for commercial airlines, all makes of private aircraft and DOD aircraft are a part of our daily business. Our FBO offerings are complete. You can expect, large corporate hangars, maintenance for all makes and models in a certificated repair station, a Part 61 flight school, DOD fuel, airline support of all sorts, full concierge red carpet services, and more. As home base for some of the country’s finest corporate aircraft, we’ve come a long ways since 1990. Wow! All FBO’s should take lessons from Northstar Jet. Pleasant, helpful (a 12 passenger crew van), reasonable (fair gas price) and service (GPU when we needed it). Buy gas and waived ramp and parking fees. What more could you ask?

We recently had a trip where we needed to store our airplane in MSO for just over a week. We received outstanding service at a fair price on both the hangar and the fuel we purchased. Highly recommend this FBO if you are stopping in MSO.
Great FBO. The staff had a rental car on the ramp for us. Heated hangar space available and full service fuel for under $5.00. A special hello to Todd on the line for his professional service and great humor. When we return to Missoula, we will definitely be back.
This was my first time landing for fuel in Missoula. Northstar was absolutely fabulous. So helpful and friendly. I only took on about 45 gallons of 100LL, but with the service I received and the friendly staff you would have thought I had filled a jet. I am planning another trip the end of August and they will be on my fuel stop list.
I flew in here in my RV-6 for a few days of scouting fishing options in the Missoula area. Office staff and line personnel were friendly, helpful, and efficient – and lined up food hotel and car rental options for me. Will definitely use Northstar for future trips to Missoula.
