FAA Requirements-
Minimum hours of flight time:
30 hours of dual Instruction $127/hr
10 hours of solo flight time $82/hr
Other Requirements-
Obtain FAA Medical Certificate.
Pass FAA Written Knowledge Test.
Pass FAA Practical Test.
The above hourly requirements are minimums only. It is very rare for a student to complete the Private Pilot Practical Test with only the minimum hours. A more realistic estimate would be 50-70 hours of flight time.
Ground Instruction as needed to obtain the required knowledge, an estimated 10 to 20 hours of personal instruction at a cost of $45 an hour.
